Our Day at the Beach

We took the boys to Wrightsville Beach today to meet up with Mamaw, Papaw, Immy, Uncle Stephen & Baby Evie to take some family photos. They turned out pretty good I think.

After we took pictures the boys were able to let loose a little & play in the sand. I wish I had planned ahead & brought toys it was a beautiful day & perfect weather for the beach. Instead we left shortly after these were taken, ate lunch at Dockside & went to a really neat park to wear the boys out so they would have a nice nap on the ride home which they did. Both of the woke up about 10 minutes from home so the timing worked out great.

Easter 2009

I wanted to do something different with the boys Easter pictures this year because I am tired of the same boring poses that the studios do. So me (the famous photographer that I am -HA!) and my assistant, Halley took the boys to the WRAL Azalea Gardens which was the perfect spot for spring pictures. My subjects however were not the perfect angels that I needed them to be to get the perfect picture so this is what I got. Peyton was very cranky & wanted to be held the entire time so it was very difficult to get a good shot of him. Kent was good because he wanted his gum that I promised if he would take a good picture. He had a great time because the gardens have all these different trails to run around in and his favorite was the fountain.

This is my favorite out of all of them:

This is best I was able to get:

This is what most of them look like:

We tried everything including having the boys sit on me:

All of Kent's pictures were good:

And I was able to get good ones of Peyton as long as I was holding him:

A Huge Milestone Passed

This past Sunday I had the opportunity to dress the boys alike once again. Here is a picture. They love to get in this rocking chair and rock together. It is the only place I can usually get them to be together long enough for a picture...now if I can get them to look at me at the same time we'll be doing great.

So as I posted in the title, A Huge Milestone for Kent has finally passed...literally :) He is since Monday COMPLETELY potty trained. We celebrated at Chick Fil A as promised & I splurged and bought a box of Cereal Straws, which are currently his favorite treat. I limit them to when he does #2 on the potty as they are very expensive & he could eat an entire box by himself in one sitting if we let him.

March Madness

It's been a little hectic around our house this week but I did manage to get some cute pictures of the boys throughout the week. Peyton had an accident last Saturday so we spent 1/2 the day getting 3 stitches in his finger. Kent is finally using the potty on a pretty regular basis with an average of at least one accident per day but that to be expected I suppose.
Captain Valentines...a bit late but not as late as the last picture :)

Peyton's Sink Bath. He LOVED it!

Mommy's Prince Charmings

Peyton, Pizza & Patsy (Aiken that is)

This is Kent's Patsy Aiken Outfit...doubt he'll wear it much since it has snaps...too hard to go potty in!

Kent giving love

It took Kent 3 months to finally wear his Santa Jammies!

More Valentines Pictures

Jeff and I went to Duplin for a tour, wine tasting & dinner at the Bistro afterwards with Tommy & Marianne as a Birthday/Valentine Combo Present for me. We had a BLAST!!! Not sure why the camera didn't cut out the red eye but I don't have the time or patience to fix it right now.

Here's a cute one of Peyton on Valentines Day. Kent wouldn't wear his new Valentines shirt that looked like Peytons so maybe soon I can try to get one of them together in their matching shirts.

Valentines 2009

Happy Valentines Day!

Peyton is teething & Kent is wound tight 24/7 so it is a complete miracle that I was able to get these cute pictures out of the 2 of them. It was pretty obvious that I wasn't going to be able to get them together which was disappointing because they had matching outfits that Nana made for them but sometimes it's better to just go with the flow and get what you can. Last Friday we started the session & I brought along help. Kent was running around acting crazy & Peyton was crying because he has 4 teeth coming in so I was able to get a few shots in of them individually with a smile on their face. Then I went back today with just Peyton and tried to get a nice cupid shot but he really does not like that costume so I took what I could and got out fast.
I don't think you'll have to be worried about this Cupid's Arrow

I have NEVER seen this face before but the picture was just too cute to resist! He must not like fake roses.

The "Hat"

Peyton got a hold of one of Kent's hats and turned into an instant comedian.
